Membership Drive an Annual Dues
A reminder that membership dues are now due (June 1, 2010) - $15.00 per single member, $20.00 per family, $150.00 for a lifetime membership. Please mail them in promptly, as you do not want to miss our newsletters. We have lots of functions and news to get out to you each month.  This is a good time to sign up new members. Lois challenges you to bring in at least 1 new guest to our next regular meeting.

It is also a good time to PLEDGE to the History House; send in a small donation to help with our monthly expenses, as we still try to raise funds to complete our renovations. For example, some members send $10.00 per month, some send quarterly, some pay by the year. This is especially helpful to those who cannot be on hand to help us with our fundraisers. The History House is a 12 room structure with monthly expenses, just like every other house.

Welcome New Members
Jan & David Farley, Martha Barberio, Eleanor Barnett, Holly Pedneau, Jackie Farley Fielder, William Robinson, Anna Hall, and Tanya Hill, Pat Anderson, Sandra Chambers, Tom & Mary Lou Pencarinha, Wende Thomas, Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce, Tammy Weis

The "History House" is available for small wedding receptions, meetings, anniversaries and birthday celebrations. We can accommodate about 25 persons and we can cater the event if you so desire. We can prepare something as simple as finger foods or a full dinner. A fee will be charged for room rental if a group has someone else cater or bring in their own food.

Now that our kitchen is complete, we are in need of commercial pots and baking pans. If you could help, please send us a donation to help purchase these items. We use the kitchen to cater meetings and small dinners. Your help would be GREATLY appreciated.

The Historical Society is collecting aluminum cans. If you have cans that need to be picked up, call Lois at 304-487-0559
